Individual Golfer insurance in Tennessee
Insurance that travels with the golfer instead of staying parked at the clubhouse. Hole-in-one prize coverage for your tournament, equipment protection that beats your homeowners limit, and tournament liability for one-day events.
What we cover
Coverage is custom to your situation — these are the typical pieces.
Hole-in-One Prize Indemnification
Pay a small premium to cover a large prize (car, cash, vacation) if someone aces a designated hole during your tournament. Standard policies cover $5k to $50k+ prizes; specialty placements go higher.
Tournament Liability
One-day or multi-day event liability for charity tournaments, corporate outings, member-guest events. Sponsors and venues typically require $1M / $2M limits with additional-insured endorsements.
Golf Equipment / Personal Articles
Schedule your clubs, range finder, push cart, and bag separately. Homeowners typically caps sports equipment at $1,500 — a scheduled policy covers full replacement worldwide.
Personal Liability Extension
Your homeowners liability follows you on the course — but limits matter. We pair adequate home liability with an umbrella for golfers concerned about errant-ball injury claims.
Sports Accident
Medical coverage if a player is injured during a covered event. Common addition for charity tournaments.
What affects your rate
Carriers weigh these differently — that's why shopping multiple matters.
- Type of event — single tournament, season-long league, or scheduled coverage for an individual player
- Prize value (for hole-in-one) and required distance from tee
- Number of participants
- Beverages served at the event (drives liability rating)
- Sponsor / venue contractual requirements (limits, additional insureds)
- Whether prizes will be witnessed by independent observers (required by most prize-indemnification carriers)

Frequently asked
How much does hole-in-one insurance cost?
It depends on the prize size, hole distance (typically minimum 150 yards for men, 130 for women), and number of attempts. A $10,000 prize at 165 yards with 100 golfers usually runs $200-$400 total. We can quote a specific event in an hour.
Does hole-in-one insurance require witnesses?
Yes. Most carriers require at least one independent, unrelated adult witness on the tee box AND green at the moment of the shot. If you can't field witnesses, fewer carriers will write — but we know which ones.
How far in advance do I need to set up tournament coverage?
We can bind same-day for most one-event policies. Larger or more complex events with multiple sponsors and high limits sometimes need 48-72 hours. Don't wait — call us as soon as the event date is set.
Will my homeowners cover a golf cart I own?
Sometimes, with serious limitations. If you own a cart at a community course or a personal cart driven on roads, a dedicated golf-cart endorsement or stand-alone policy is almost always the better answer. Cheaper than expected.
I broke a window with a ball — is that covered?
Usually yes under your personal liability. Limits and deductibles matter. If you're a frequent player or someone hit on a course where you play often, this is the time to make sure your liability limits are adequate. Umbrella policies start under $300/year.
